Year 2

Year 2 have been fabulous this week and approached their SATs with an amazing attitude. The children have performed brilliantly and we are extremely proud of them. Not only have they worked hard during their papers but they have also coped incredibly well with changing rooms, working with different adults and adopting a different timetable for the week. The final 2 days of SATs will be on Monday and Wednesday of next week. Keep up the good work kids!

Aside from SATs this week the children have been creating pieces of art using natural resources. They have been making sculptures around nature and studying Andy Goldsworthy. The children have been wowed and amazed by his ability to create such amazing art in nature!

Year 3

Year 3 have been thinking about traditional tales from different points of view. We read Jack And The Beanstalk and decided that the giant had done nothing wrong. We interviewed him about the robberies at his castle and made WANTED posters for Jack.

Year 4

Year 4 are having a fantastic time this week both those in school and those at Bushcraft. Our children who stayed behind have created some amazing art work, baked delicious treats and enjoyed a double swimming session as well as a trip to the cinema!

Thank you to Miss Belaon and Miss Poole for their help this week.

Year 5

This week year 5 have been studying King Kong and making comparisons between Anthony Brownes book and Beauty and the Beast. Alongside this, the children have made their own tribal chants and dances. As it turns out there are some very scary children in V-Moth and Little Whirlpool class!
