Spotlight On ... Issue 3 - dated 31st January 2025

Posted: Fri 31st Jan 2025

Dear Parents/Carers,

It has - as always - been a hectic time at Biggin Hill and the children have been busy learning and making lots of amazing progress.

I have thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to watch a number of incredible class assemblies recently. It is a real joy to see how far the children have come since September and to see, up close, what they are learning and how much they enjoy their education.

This Spotlight On… issue is dedicated to the pupil voice the House Captains and Prefects coordinated at the end of last term. It was wonderful hearing children talking about their learning with the oldest children in the school!

Aspire:

Aspire class has read books called ‘Filth’ and ‘Imaginary Garden’. In Maths, they are currently doing division, subtraction, multiplying, addition and areas. They wrote a letter to an author called Sam Boughton. They enjoy learning about English and Maths as they said that they could explore. If they need any help they will ask the Aspire teachers Miss Scriven, Miss Mason and Miss Mercer. They said that they are very supportive with helping and encouraging.
