Reception children have been learning about firefighters as part of our topic 'People Who Help Us'.
We have read an information book and a story book about firefighters. We are beginning to recognise the differences in these two types of book. We have thought about what we would like to find out about firefighters and composed questions using question words and a question mark. We have drawn and labelled a firefighters uniform and thought about what they do to help people. Would you know what to do in an emergency? We have talked about what number to call and who to ask for help.
