Last week I took a wander around the school, as I frequently do, and was so impressed by what I saw! We have placed a much greater emphasis on the broader curriculum this year and have freed up some time on Fridays so that teachers and the children can really immerse themselves in their science and humanities topics—last week in one afternoon I saw:
Homemade superhero capes, hatching dinosaur eggs, an apple festival, designing, building, testing and evaluating bridge models, astronaut training and amazing hands on research into slavery—Wow! What an afternoon!
We look forward to seeing you later for our Black History Month Look at my Learning afternoon.
