Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a fantastic week and 3 days back at school. The children have returned with such enthusiasm, have settled very well and have generally been an absolute pleasure! It has been so hot this week and they have coped so well in the heat. Attendance has been excellent since we have been back - long may this continue. As you know improving attendance and reducing persistent absenteeism (a persistent absentee is any child with attendance below 90%) is one of our two Ofsted priorities. Please help us by making sure that your child is at school every day unless they are too unwell. We are introducing a musical style each month. This month the children will be listening to and learning about soul music. If you like soul music perhaps you could listen to some together. We are so excited about a range of new clubs that will be starting at BHPS! We already have a waiting list for our new Wildlife Wonders Club who came in to promote the club in assembly - I was so excited to hold a snake but less thrilled to clear up parrot poo! Look out for information about new clubs starting soon! Thank you so much to everyone fortweaking your morning routines and working so hard to get your children into school at our new start time. Have a lovely sunny weekend - enjoy it while it lasts! My very best wishes, Mrs Freeman Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead
