Dear Parents and Carers,

It has been another very busy week and at the risk of sounding a bit miserable, the slightly cooler weather has been a relief!

We would like to thank you for coming to Sports Day today - we hope that you enjoyed supporting the children. A special thank you to Year 5 who provided a performance of Samba music for the children to arrive to! We hope that many of you will stay for the Summer Fair that is happening straight after Sports Day. Thank you to Mrs Sanford for organising Sports Day and to the Friends for coordinating and running what we hope will be a very successful and well attended Summer Fair!

You should have received a letter about class teachers for next academic year. This information was shared directly with the children and everyone seems to be very excited about their new teachers. There will be an “All Change Day” on 17th July when children will get to spend some time with their new teachers in their new classrooms.

Please make sure that children are wearing the correct PE kit. From September this will be strictly enforced - children should wear PLAIN black, shorts/leggings/tracksuit bottoms and a plain T-shirt in their house colour. They may wear a plain black hoodie or sweatshirt and a logoed version of this can be pre-ordered from our school uniform shop.

Finally this week we welcomed our new reception children to their first taster session. It was lovely to meet so many new children and their families and we are very excited about them joining the BHPS community.

Have a lovely weekend.

My very best wishes,

Mrs Freeman

Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead
