Dear Parents and Carers,
I hope your week has been as great as ours has in school! This week I have been in to English lessons across both KS1 and KS2 and have been blown away by some of the writing I have seen. Y6 have been focussing on bringing their characters to life and used some amazing vocabulary and dialogue to do so, Y3 have been writing information reports on forces, what they are and how they work and Y4 have been writing instructions on how to build their own flying machines!
On Wednesday I had the pleasure of watching Fred class’ Assembly with parents and carers. The children were amazing - we had a dance performance, maths demonstration, French conversation translated into English, a basketball skills lesson and so much more! The children wrote the assembly themselves and it was clear to see how proud they are of what they have achieved so far this year.
Last Friday it was great to see so many children at the Autumn discos. Thank you so much to the Friends and volunteers who supported this event; the children had an absolute blast!
Please make sure that your collection sheets are up to date - we have had several occasions recently whereby adults have come to collect children and either not been listed as adults who are able to colelct or the password is incorrect. This does not make for a smooth transition home for the children and means that staff need to challenge the adult collecting, which is not plesant for anyone. If you need new forms, please contact the office.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Lawrence
Headteacher and Safeguarding Lead
