Newsletter 24/25 - Issue 3 dated 4th October 2024

Posted: Fri 4th Oct 2024

Dear Parents and Carers,

Today you will have received a letter from Mrs Lucas with information regarding Parent Consultations, which will take place on Wednesday 16th, Thursday 17th and Friday 18th October - please note Friday 18th October is also an INSET day. Parent Consultations are booked via your Arbor account - if you have any difficulty with booking an appointment, please contact the office.

On Monday, Miss Elliot held an assembly for our KS2 children to relaunch Times Tables Rock Stars. Children in years 3 - 6 will all have login details to be able to access TTRS from home. If your child is having any difficulty in accessing their account from home, their class teacher will be able to help.

We are seeking volunteers! At school we always need help and support in ways such as 1:1 readers, gardening, painting, working with small groups and many many more. If you have a skill set that you feel our children could benefit from, whether it be a regular commitment or a one off timeslot, please contact either myself or Mrs Murphy. As you will be aware, budgets within schools have been greatly reduced over time and this has had an impact on so much - if you feel you have time or skills to share with us, please let us know!

Last year, we held a parent workshop on how to support girls with ADHD, led by Una Archer. Una is running an online workshop to support families with a peaceful start to the day, especially those who may find getting ready for school tricky. The workshop is titled ‘A Peaceful School Run’ and is taking place online on Wednesday 9th October 1 - 2pm. The workshop will also be available on replay to those who register. For more information and to register interest, please search for "helpyourchildthrive".

Have a wonderful weekend,

Mrs Lawrence

Interim Headteacher and Safeguarding Lead
