Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been another busy week at BHPS with lots of children representing the school in many different activities.
Year 6 did a fantastic job of running the book fair with Mrs Gilham and raised over £400 to spend on our class libraries. Our Eco-council entered the London Children’s Flower Competition and planted bulbs back in October. You may have seen the beautiful hyacinthes outside Year 3. This week, a judge from the society came to look at the bulbs and take photos. We are waiting to hear if we have made it through to the next stage of the competition. Finally, our Year 6 netball teams showed perseverance and grit while playing in a tournament against local schools on Thursday. Well done to all our pupils who were fantastic ambassadors for Biggin Hill.
Earlier in the week, we were treated to a fabulous assembly by 1E and today the carnival came to Reception. As part of their topic ‘Brazil’, Reception children danced, banged drums and blew whistles as they paraded through the school. It was a spectacle to see!
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Lawrence
