Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to the summer term. Although the sun is starting to shine, it has still been very chilly and windy! We very much hope to see some warmer weather so that we can all enjoy the outside events that are planned for the summer term!
We were very pleased to announce that Mrs Lawrence has agreed to become Acting Headteacher from September - we hope that this has served to reassure parents and carers. Mrs Lawrence is very much looking forward to taking on this new role.
The children have settled back down brilliantly - as they always do! Year 4 have been enjoying a week of intensive swimming lessons and they have all done so well - brilliant job Y4. Thank you to everyone who has walked the children to and from the pool and to the staff who have got into the pool to support the less confident swimmers. Y6 are working very hard in preparation for their SATs which will take place in May and Y5 enjoyed a fabulous Portals to the Past, Egyptian Day!
A couple of summer term reminders: Please can all children have a named (full) water bottle in school every day and please can cardigans and jumpers be named, as these will be removed a lot more in the warmer weather.
We are very much looking forward to lots of summer fun this term - please keep an eye on the diary dates so that you are aware of what is coming up later this term.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Freeman
Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead
