Dear Parents and Carers,
It has been a week full of fun and excitement. World Book Day was a great success! Thank you to parents and carers for their support and to the wonderful Mrs Lucas for organising this event.
School Council held their cake sale on Wednesday - thank you for the cake donations and for purchasing cakes at the end of the day. School Council were thrilled to have raised £125.80!!!! Thank you also to all of the staff who helped to run the event and of course to Mrs Snelling who organised this with School Council.
Thank you to our parent/carer representatives who attended the first Parent Forum of the year yesterday. It was a very productive meeting and we will feedback to the wider school community in due course.
A reminder that Tea and Tots - our parent/carer, baby and toddler group - runs every Wednesday from 1.30-3pm. Please come along and spread the word - the more the merrier!
We are very excited to announce that next week we will be having all new playground markings on the KS1 playground and a few additional markings on the KS2 playground. This project is being funded by the Friends and we would therefore like to thank not only the Friends for their amazing work but to each and everyone of you who has supported a Friends run event. Your money is being put to good use! We will share photos of the children enjoying the new playground markings as soon as they are complete! Please see photos of some of the designs below.
Finally, if you havent already done so, please complete the child survey that Mrs Sargeant sent out; it is really important to us to gather the views of children from across the school.
Have a wonderful weekend,
Mrs Freeman
Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead
