Dear Parents and Carers,

It's been such a great week in school and we have all enjoyed the wonderful weather.

Our Reception children have enjoyed their first full week in school and loved the opportunity to enjoy their first experience of PE! Emily Gravett Class enjoyed their first
Forest School session this week and Beatrix Potter Class will enjoy this just as much next week.

Although we are unable to all get together as an entire school at the moment, last Friday we held our first ever virtual Celebration Assemblies, these were led by both Mrs Freeman and Mrs Lawrence and were very much enjoyed by the children and staff. Celebrating achievements together is of great importance and I am delighted we have found a way in the virtual world to do this for our children. Today and each Friday we will all take time out as a school to celebrate together in this virtual way.

On Monday, Mrs Freeman and I provided a recorded assembly for each class to introduce our new House Names. Children enjoyed finding out more about the life and
achievements of these influential role models. To confirm, the children will still be learning about our past house names as they are hugely important to our country and in our history locally.

Can I also gently remind everyone not to enter the school grounds until 5 minutes before your child starts school and finishes at the end of the day. If we can all try and adhere to this, it will ease social distancing and help to keep everyone as safe as possible.

Please do remember that Mrs Freeman, Mrs Sargeant and myself are always on the school gate - if you have any concerns at all, please do speak to us.

As another week draws to a close, I must say that we are all enjoying everyone being back in school very much.

Have a fabulous weekend.

Mr Ellis
