Dear Parents and Carers,
The children have had a brilliant second week back at school and are very settled and happy - it is lovely to hear such a wonderful buzz around our school again!
This week we welcomed our Nursery children back - on behalf of everyone at school, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to the littlest members of our school community and their families. Our Reception children have also enjoyed staying for lunch. I must thank our Reception team and also Lana, our Catering Manager, for taking extra special care of them whilst they make this important transition. Next week we are looking forward to welcoming them full time.
I’m delighted to advise that we have received confirmation that we have achieved the Silver Award for the Primary Geography Quality Mark (PGQM). This is such a great
achievement for our school and important recognition for the great work we do in delivering a rich and varied curriculum! I must thank and congratulate Mrs Churchward, Geography Curriculum Lead, for securing this important and prestigious quality mark for our school and also Mrs O'Mahony, Wider Curriculum Lead, for supporting her with this development. This quality mark is, as you can imagine, very uplifting for my staff team and a great way to start the year!
Finally and most importantly, everything in school is running very smoothly. After such a long period of uncertainty, I am sure this is a great comfort to you all.
Have a wonderful and fun filled weekend - see everyone on Monday.
Mr Ellis
