Dear parents and carers,
Many of the children have been busy with assessments this week and have coped very well. Just to reiterate that these are nothing to worry about and not something that the children should have prepared for in advance; we use the information gained from these tests to make judgements about progress that the children have made and also to plan next steps in learning.
Thank you to everyone who came to the Ofsted feedback meeting, we hope you feel reassured that the school has made very good progress and that you are clear about what needs to be done to secure further improvement. If you have any questions regarding the report, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Can I remind families that girls with long hair must have this tied back when at school and also that all hair accessories (clips/bows etc.) should be in school colours.
Well done to Orinoco Class—we all thoroughly enjoyed your assembly yesterday morning! We are looking forward to welcoming back the Year 6 pupils who have been in France this week—they have had a fantastic time! The Year 6 pupils who have remained, have had a great time too and have been given lots of opportunities to show their creative sides!
I would like to make a personal plea for as many of you as possible to volunteer to help at the Summer Fair on 11th July—it’s going to be a great day out but we need lots of help on the day!
The class with the winning attendance this week is Orinoco class with 99%—well done! Have a lovely weekend.
