Despite the horrible weather, it has been a great start back at school. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Happy New Year! I would also like to say a huge thank you on behalf of Mrs Freeman, the staff team and myself for all of the Christmas cards and gifts that we received; we were touched by your generosity and thought.
Just a quick reminder that tomorrow is an INSET day and so the school will be closed to children—we hope they enjoy their day off! Congratulations to Ms Whittaker who gave birth to a beautiful baby boy just in time for Christmas—Archie was a healthy 8lb 4oz and both Mum and baby are doing very well!
Year 2 went to the local Pet Shop in Biggin Hill on Monday as part of their Buzz Afternoon. This enabled the children to become engaged in their new art topic, What would our underwater world look like?
Well done to Y6 Darling class whose attendance was the highest in the school this week at 98%.
I hope that the weather improves and that you have a lovely weekend.
