Dear Parents and carers
It has been another non-stop week! KS1 and KS2 have both had moderation visits from the local authority—these went very well and we have had positive feedback about the amount and quality of work in books as well as about the accuracy and thoroughness of our assessments. Well done to Y2 and Y6!
Whistler class assembly was a great success yesterday morning—I think your singing was heard from Charles Darwin!
Year 6 had a great day on Wednesday— “The Apprentice” came to BHPS! I turned in to Alan Sugar for the day (Mrs Burton was Karen Brady and Mrs Freeman was Nick Hewer!!!) The pupils in Y6 were set the mammoth task of researching, designing, producing and marketing a board game that had an electrical component! The ideas and pitches were fantastic—we were amazed by the creativity and hard work that went into this task! Winners will be announced soon…
We are very much looking forward to Art Week next week—the children will be doing all sorts of wonderful art projects including a collaboration with A level art students and teachers from Charles Darwin. We will be exhibiting the work in due course and more information about this will follow.
The class with the winning attendance this week is ???? with ???? —well done! Have a great weekend—enjoy the sunshine!
