A very special Virtual Goodbye Assembly for Mr Ellis

Our entire school came together virtually this morning to enjoy a very special assembly for Mr Ellis.

Mrs Freeman, who will be our Acting Headtecaher from January and Mrs Lawrence, Acting Deputy Heateacher from January, were delighted to lead this very special Virtual Goodbye Assembly on behalf of all the staff and children across the school.

Mr Ellis has been the most amazing headteacher and children across all classes virtually awarded him as our ‘Star of the Week’. Certificates were awarded for so many reasons; including being the best headteacher, looking after us all, being very smart, being a very successful headteacher and for being brave.

Mrs Freeman set Mr Ellis some hula-hoop and football challenges, and we all enjoyed our usual celebration assembly traditions!  Mr Ellis was given a ‘big hand, a round of a claws and seal of approval’ by all the children and staff at Biggin Hill Primary School. We also shared some very special good luck and goodbye messages from all the children across the entire school.

Finally, Mr Ellis took his place on the Bench of Glory!

Mr Ellis has been the most outstanding headteacher and we all wish him the very best of luck in his new school. Although Mr Ellis is moving on and will be missed by us all, we are very fortunate as he will be continuing as a trustee for the Charles Darwin Academy Trust.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a fabulous New Year!
