World Mental Health Day

Posted: Fri 5th Oct 2018

A reminder that next Wednesday 10th October is World Mental Health Day and that the school are supporting this by raising money for the children’s charity Young Minds #Hello Yellow.

Everyone should wear something yellow next Wednesday: it could be a tie, a hairband, some silly glasses: anything really, small or large. We will be collecting donations for this event on the gate in the morning. In our school we take the mental wellbeing of your children very seriously.

We have provision in many different ways, like Worry Boxes in each classroom, where children can put worries, however small . We have a school councillor and our Family Liaison Worker, Kath Sargeant, is always available to listen to you or your children. The school work hard to help children understand that their mental health is important and that they are valued by all staff. We hope to see you all in yellow!
