It was so lovely to see all our amazing children return this morning and welcome everyone back to school - there were a few emotional moments from Mrs Lawrence, the staff and I. We really have been on such a journey!
We couldn't be happier to have everyone back under the Biggin Hill Primary School roof. Everyone is finally back where they belong, friendships can be reformed and the normal hum-drum of the school day will be back with us before we know it.
The smiles, chuckles and laughter throughout the school today makes us realise how special school is and how much being back means to everyone. Normality is definitely on the horizon and we hope, as we approach the Summer, that we are on the home stretch.
It is obvious to us all that teaching and learning has been very different to what we are all used to, but the recent pandemic has really enabled us to think outside the box, think more about our delivery and realise that so much can be achieved if we try new things and work together.
It goes without saying that the real heroes of this pandemic are our children; we have asked so much of them and they have all risen to many challenges whilst showing such strength and resilience - they are a true credit to you all.
On behalf of the staff here, we are ready, we are excited and we are looking forward to what the future brings for Biggin Hill Primary School!
Here are a few pictures of the children this morning.
My very best wishes,
Mrs Freeman
